Era of Longevity, What Are the Health Keepers?

As medical technology continues to develop and people pursue healthier lifestyle, the average lifespan has increased much longer. With basic health care only, people are able to live up to 100 years old if there is no sudden accident.

As lifespan expands, people are showing more attention to retirement. Since the population of young generations has increased compared to the past, many old people in their 60s and 70s are planning for a second job after the retirement.

However, all of these can be obtained in one condition: health. Even if one lives for a long time, it won’t be satisfying to live long if one spends the rest of his/her life on bed or without health. It has become obvious that living ‘healthily’ has become a crucial part in our lives.

■No Overeating
In one Japanese town, where people live for more than 100 years, there is one common act that people do. When they feel 80% full, they stop eating because overeating accelerates aging and drops down concentration. In addition, overeating is bad in that it causes fattening and lays a burden on stomach and internal organs.
 
■Regular Exercise
Exercising every day keeps up the youth. When one jogs or walks every day regularly, lifespan will be expanded. Exercise is very crucial in providing positive effects to metabolism and digestion.

■Enough Sleep 


Human beings spend 1/3 of their lives sleeping. Depends on how one sleeps, the body condition changes and the future changes.

Experts say that there is nothing better than sleeping well for keeping health. Since modern people don’t have enough time, it’s hard to eat right all the time and exercise everyday. Therefore, sleeping right is the easiest way to live healthily.
