[Today's Go-To] The Fur Scarf
[by Nawael Khelil] February really marks a strange split in our minds: winter is at its peak yet we’re already dreaming of sunny escapades in flowers as spring is getting closer. The dilemma then arises: are we or are we not buying a new scarf? Because we’re tired of our everyday cotton scarf – despite its loyal services – yet we still don’t want to expose our throat to the vicious wind that blows in the city.
To add a bit of fun into the process and make the balance tilt toward the ‘yes’, all we need is to look for an item that brings the fashion monster right out of us. Something that can put an end to our hesitations, something that combines style, heating and feeling of freedom. Nothing is worse than suffocating in a too narrow, too big, or too crushing piece of fabric that was originally supposed to help you overcome the harsh winter.
And our fur tour continues this week with a short, practical and warm fur scarf – the ideal response to our questioning. Soft and tender, it decorates a neck in an exquisite way despite the faux material, the texture has something extremely elegant yet innocent for a hybrid kind of statement: play it impressive while exuding a certain form of subtlety. Stylenanda marks some points this time again with a bicolor item, in white and burgundy to express not only the fashion trends but also the beauty codes of the season.
Wear it over a white long turtleneck wool dress for a dreamlike atmosphere. With wool stockings and a pair of flat ankle boots, become a 2015 version of Alice in the new Wonderland of fashion. All you need is a beautiful handbag to tell the story (I am thinking of Fendi’s Peekaboo or 3 Jours). (photo by Stylenanda)
